Zine workshop

Pita Projekt (https://linktr.ee/pita_project) is a platform founded by the artists Nina Goropečnik and Rea Vogrinčič. It is dedicated to exhibiting and exploring one's own practice and system, with a focus on reflecting on the relationship between the artwork, the workspace and the exhibition context. The artists are interested in support mechanisms, structures and systems necessary for the presentation of artwork.

A zine is a handmade, self-published booklet that can be produced by oneself. The peculiarity of this medium lies in the fact that it does not require any special skills, equipment, or materials. It is usually published in small quantities – anywhere from tens to hundreds of copies –at low production costs.

The workshop is focused on archiving, documenting and collecting creation. The collections and products we created were compiled into a group zine, with each participant receiving their own copy at the end.

At the time of the event, there was simultaneously a booth of independent publishers in the vicinity, as part of the project Chapter 1, Paragraph 3.

The workshop was a collaboration between the City of Books Festival, the cultural hub Carinarnica and the creative practices hub XCenter.
